Live Auction Packages

About the Auctioneer
Jake Cheechov began his career as an auctioneer when he was 13 working at a livestock yard in Creswell. Cheechov worked behind the scenes at the auction yards where he and the other boys would mimic the auctioneer on staff. He also held a benefit auction as a high school community project. He attended a two week program at the Western College of Auctioneering in Montana, where he learned the basics of a chant and how to organize a sale.

Since 1993 he’s auctioned off livestock equipment and cars in Eugene and Roseburg. Today Cheechov owns and manages Pacific International Auctions in Sutherlin.  His bid calling is so smooth he took the top trophy at the 2003 Oregon Grand Champion Auctioneer competition held in Salem.

Canter Ridge Pony
Canter Ridge Ponies is an Oregon Welsh Pony breeder specializing in sales and breeding of talented sport ponies. They breed registered Welsh Section B ponies and Welsh crosses that have the movement, mind and ability to excel in the sport horse arena.

A lucky family will have the opportunity to take home one of these lovely ponies. "Canter Ridge Top Flight” is a Purebred AQPA Colt (American Quarter Pony) that was foaled April 19, 2007. His sire (AQPA #P-4723) has won in halter and western events along the West Coast and his dam was ridden English style, entered in many shows and parades and was a 4H horse.

Top Flight has been weaned and halter-broke and is ready for a new family to cherish and love him! He will mature between 13.2 and 13.3 hands, and will look like a miniature Quarter Horse when he's full-grown. Since Top Flight is still a youngster, please make sure you consider the training, care and housing demands of a foal before bidding on him. The pony can be picked up in Tualatin or delivered for a nominal fee.
