The Stem Mentor Project
10/19/2009

Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM)

Are you excited about your major or career?

Get Involved by Being a Mentor!
Are you involved with a STEM-related career or school major and willing to share your knowledge, excitement, and experiences with a high school student who is interested in STEM? We are particularly interested in mentors who experience challenges in learning (ADHD, Dyslexia), and other types of disabilities.

As a Mentor, you will:

  • Meet with my mentee two times a month between April and September, 2010

  • Share my enthusiasm about STEM careers with my mentee

  • Help mentees learn about things they can do to pursue a STEM career

The Project Provides:

  • Orientation and training

  • $250 stipend as a thank-you for your time at the end of the program

  • Recognition from the National Science Foundation
