Keeping Ag Viable in Oregon
A
State-Wide Program to Raise Awareness and Support for Agriculture in
Oregon
The goal of Keeping Agriculture Viable is to motivate Oregonians
to actively support Oregon agriculture through the purchase of local
products and their consideration at the ballot box. This state-wide
effort combines the diverse and intellectual resources of Oregon
agriculture in creating a unified message showcasing the many values
agriculture provides to those who live throughout the Northwest Keeping Oregon agriculture viable depends on educating Oregonians
about the industry's significant contributions to the state’s…
- economy
- labor force
- food supply
- environment
- and quality of life.
Research shows that Oregonians generally hold positive views
about agriculture, but fail to understand its issues or see how it
relates to their daily life. That's where you come in. It's up to
us, professionals in agriculture and its supporting industries, to
help make that connection for all Oregonians.
We encourage you to add your voice and commit your resources to
support this campaign. Weighing the rationale for this campaign as
you would any business decision, the investment is meaningful and
the benefits are priceless - increased consumption of Oregon
products, greater awareness of our hard work and achievements,
stronger backing of our needs for growth, and a more secure future
for our industry. It is time for the agriculture industry to speak
with one voice, communicating messages that directly benefit us
all, together and individually. By leveraging your investment with
others in the industry, we can achieve far greater results. We
will reach larger audiences, more often, and with a consistent
message - keys to raising awareness and motivating action. Our
future depends on it.
